A reputed CBSE school in Dwarka, Delhi is looking to onboard a Tabla Teacher to train students in Tabla and support the school’s wider music programme.
Conduct regular Tabla classes for schoolage children across relevant grades.
Design ageappropriate lesson plans to build rhythm, technique, and musical understanding.
Prepare students for stage performances, annual functions, choir accompaniments, and school events.
Train and mentor students for interschool music competitions.
Coordinate with the music department for integrated performances and events.
Maintain and manage Tabla instruments and related musical equipment.
Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to parents and school management.
Support musical accompaniment requirements throughout the academic year.
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Music, with specialisation in Tabla, from a recognised university.
Diploma or certificate in Music from a state or central government-recognised institution.
B.Ed. preferred, though not mandatory for specialised music or activity teachers.
2 to 5 years of practical teaching experience, preferably with school-age children.
Prior experience preparing students for stage performances, annual functions, choir accompaniments, and inter-school music competitions.
Experience managing group performances and supporting school events.
Strong command over Tabla technique, rhythm, and performance training.
Good stage presence and ability to manage group performances.
Patience, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage young learners and build student confidence through music.
